Modern IT infrastructure no longer consists solely of servers and virtual machines. Containers, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and intelligent observability are changing the way platforms are operated.
This is exactly where you come in.
You move between proven on-premises infrastructure and modern platform technologies. You automate, standardise, and further develop – always with the goal of turning complex infrastructure into a reliable, scalable, and future-proof platform.

Responsibilities:
You ensure that the technical base runs reliably – stable, secure, and performant.
You operate virtualisation platforms and develop them further together with the team.
You work on container platforms with Kubernetes and OpenShift and help to expand these for the future.
You are called upon where infrastructure becomes complex and technical problems need to be analysed in depth.
You bring Windows and Linux together and understand the different requirements of modern platform landscapes.
You put an end to manual routine work and automate processes with PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD.
You develop the infrastructure step by step towards Infrastructure as Code.
You create transparency with monitoring, dashboards, and intelligent alerts before a problem becomes an incident.
You accompany migrations, lifecycle projects, and technological renewals.
You work with various IT specialists, departments, and external partners and actively contribute your technical perspective.
Qualifications:
You have a solid education in the field of computer science and several years of experience in system or platform engineering.
You know virtualisation not only from theory and have experience with VMware, Proxmox VE, or comparable technologies.
You are confident in Windows and Linux environments.
You have already had contact with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker – or want to take the next professional step exactly there.
You enjoy automating and bring experience with PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines.
You understand why Infrastructure as Code makes infrastructure more sustainable, reproducible, and better maintainable.
You think not only reactively when operating but are interested in monitoring, observability, and proactive error detection.
You work precisely and structured without losing sight of the big picture.
You take responsibility and can communicate technical topics clearly.
You speak very good German and understand Swiss German.
