Position to be filled to complete the team.
100% Public Security Officer
Department:
Public Domain Service
Activities:
Monitor the blue zone, limited parking areas, parking meters and report illegal parking.
Manage the public domain (terraces, various requests).
Supervise construction sites.
Support partners (PONE, OFDF, SCAV and other SDP).
Conduct regular patrols and road checks.
Report offences (LCR) committed by drivers of moving vehicles.
Control public health standards.
Write reports.
Welcome the public at the counter.
Collect fees.
Set up signage during events.
Manage volunteers during events.
Issue prosecutions.
Serve legal notices.
Enforce winter measures.
Evacuate and manage impound lots.
Replace adult patrollers.
Desired profile:
Federal VET Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Public security officer certificate required or willingness to undergo training.
Light vehicle driving licence.
Experience in security is an asset.
Resident of Le Locle or a Swiss locality allowing arrival at the workplace within about fifteen minutes or willing to relocate.
Knowledge of road traffic law, municipal regulations, directives on prosecutions, as well as laws on commercial police, public establishments and public health.
Swiss nationality or C permit.
Discreet, empathetic personality, comfortable in contact with others and collaborative spirit.
Good knowledge of the City.
Fluency in French (spoken and written).
Availability and flexibility, especially for events and winter on-call duty.

Clean criminal record extracts (standard and special) and debt enforcement office extracts will be requested from the selected candidate.
The schedule includes a rotation from 7am to 7pm as well as Saturday mornings.
