About the job

• Leading and shaping a team that delivers support services in a service-oriented manner with mutual cooperation and enjoyment
• Leading, analysing, designing and innovatively further developing departmental support processes
• Strategic-conceptual development of solutions, structures and decision-making bases
• Recognising the needs of employees and students and deriving appropriate measures
• Coordinating and optimising collaboration with internal and external units such as Marketing & Communications, HR, Controlling/Finance, Facilities, Reception, Canteen team, etc.
• Ensuring that support processes optimally support education, research, further education and services
• Close exchange and collaboration with the department management as well as the project management for departmental and organisational development
• Representing the department in higher-level committees
• Compiling important decision-making bases, data sets and analyses
• Further developing our external appearance as well as our acquisition and positioning activities

• University degree, ideally further training in processes and organisation
• At least 3 years of experience in process analysis and design
• Knowledge of how universities operate
• Agile, proactive personality with high empathy and a strong desire to shape
• Enjoyment of open questions as well as building, development and change work
• Ability to create orientation and set priorities even in not yet fully defined structures
• Strategic and conceptual thinking combined with pragmatic implementation strength
• Communicative, solution- and service-oriented, independent and structured
• Proven competence in applying methods of collegial leadership as well as Scrum and Lean approaches
• Confident use of moderation, participation and evaluation methods
• High affinity for digital tools and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
