Since 2008, the Autism Centre (AZ) of the GSR (www.gsr.ch) has been supporting children on the autism spectrum (ASS) in the preschool area up to kindergarten enrolment through intensive treatment. Transdisciplinary work with specialists in remedial early education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, as well as complementary day structure, is highly valued.
Since 2014, the AZ has been recognised by the Federal Social Insurance Office for the implementation of intensive early intervention (IFI) in early childhood autism. In addition to the core business of IFI, the AZ offers a variety of autism-specific further training courses.
