Cloud & Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
From classic server operations to modern platforms: automation, cloud, and security are at the centre. This role offers technically ambitious IT specialists the opportunity not only to operate hybrid infrastructures but also to actively modernise them and build automated platform services.
Responsibilities:
Further development and operation of hybrid infrastructure platforms
Connecting classic server landscapes with modern cloud and container technologies
Administration of Windows and Linux systems in various operating models
Building and optimising virtualised infrastructure platforms
Support of containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes
Development of automated operational processes with PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting technologies
Automation of provisioning, configuration, and recurring administrative tasks
Support in cloud migrations and modernisation projects
Implementation of security-by-design principles in infrastructure and platform operations
Analysis of complex technical fault patterns and sustainable root cause resolution
Monitoring availability, performance, and system states with modern monitoring and observability solutions
Participation in technical architecture decisions and infrastructure projects
Optimisation of existing systems regarding stability, scalability, and operating costs
Building standardized operational processes and technical documentation
Collaboration with security, development, and project teams
Qualifications:
IT training in platform development, system technology, ICT, or comparable practical experience
Professional experience in system engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations
Good knowledge of Windows or Linux
Experience with virtualisation and server technologies
Basic understanding of modern cloud and container platforms
Ideally practical experience with Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes
Interest in infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code
Initial experience with PowerShell, Bash, or comparable scripting languages
Understanding of network and security concepts
Solution-oriented and analytical thinking
High initiative and willingness to take on technical responsibility
Enjoyment of modern technologies and continuous development
