The Terra Vecchia Foundation is an organisation established in the canton of Bern. The 13 independent operations focus on housing support, work integration/production, and inpatient addiction and social therapy.
On the outskirts of Bern in Gümligen, close to the centre yet in a rural setting, lies the patrician house of the inpatient social therapy Melchenbühl. People with substance addiction often lack life perspectives. They frequently doubt themselves and their abilities, and their trust in the environment has been lost. In the social therapy Melchenbühl, these individuals find a place that offers them security and comfort, allowing them to regain courage and self-confidence in an environment of appreciation.
For this service, we are looking for a
Social Pedagogue FH or HF 80% - 100%
Due to the team composition, we prefer a man.
Your tasks
- Comprehensive support and key worker role for several clients with a multi-year addiction problem, within the framework of the social therapeutic setting
- Evening and weekend duties as well as participation in experiential education during camp and project weeks
- Interdisciplinary teamwork
- Participation in working groups and projects
Your profile
- You hold a diploma/BA in social pedagogy or social work (HF or FH).
- You have current and solid expertise and several years of experience, preferably in the field of addiction therapy.
- You think resource- and solution-oriented.
- You maintain a winning conversational style and have an awareness of coaching and conversation moderation.
- You are a resilient and thoughtful personality with the ability to support people in their development even in challenging situations.
- You use your good organisational and administrative skills and your confident German.
- Responsible, independent, motivated and proactive, you structure your work.
- You hold a category B driving licence.
