Are you experienced in transport insurance and ready for the next step in your career? Do you enjoy navigating the complex balance between growth and profitability while seeking the ideal insurance solution for every client? 

In this role, you are part of the Marine Switzerland business unit within the Transport Insurance team and actively shape the further development of Zurich Switzerland. As Senior Underwriter Transport Insurance National, you are responsible for market-oriented risk selection, ensuring professional portfolio management, and driving modern, future-oriented product development. With your expertise and innovative spirit, you contribute to the strategic direction of operational underwriting and actively shape the digital transformation in the transport business.

What to expect

• You support and advise national policyholders as well as their agents and brokers – with a focus on goods transport and traffic liability insurance
• You ensure market-oriented risk assessment and quality-focused underwriting – always in line with Zurich standards and guidelines
• You conduct active portfolio management and implement renewal and remediation processes purposefully
• You contribute to the strategic orientation of operational underwriting and drive continuous optimisation of processes and services
• You participate in internal projects and actively contribute your expertise and practical experience
  
  

What sets you apart

• Commercial training in the insurance industry as well as specific further education as an insurance specialist; transport insurance elective module is an advantage
• Several years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, preferably in the national transport insurance business
• Extensive experience in sales and customer consulting
• Excellent analytical skills and an independent, structured working style
• Fluent German and very good English skills; additional national languages are an advantage

Part-time or full-time: 70 - 100%

Work location: Oerlikon, Zurich

Start date: from 01.02.2027 or by arrangement

Travel activity: up to 5%

Hybrid working: up to 40%
