IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Technical variety, direct customer contact and challenging infrastructure projects: This position is aimed at IT specialists who not only administer systems but want to accompany complete solutions from conception to productive operation.
Responsibilities:
Support and further development of modern IT infrastructures in various customer environments
Administration of Windows Server and client platforms
Operation and optimisation of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365
Support of virtualised environments with VMware
Integration and management of cloud services, VoIP and other communication solutions
Analysis and resolution of complex technical faults within 2nd-level support
Technical consulting on infrastructure issues and solution architectures
Coordination between customers, software manufacturers and specialised technology partners
Independent planning and implementation of IT projects
Conception and migration of server, cloud and workplace solutions
Execution of upgrades, system expansions and technical optimisations
Automation of recurring administration tasks with PowerShell
Creation of technical concepts and comprehensible system documentation
Evaluation of new technologies and continuous development of own technical know-how
Qualifications:
Training in computer science system technology or comparable technical qualification
Professional experience in system engineering, ideally in an IT service environment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft 365
Experience with VMware and virtualised infrastructures
Understanding of cloud services, networks and modern IT architectures
Ideally knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
Interest in PowerShell, automation and modern infrastructure technologies
Microsoft certifications or initial experience with Linux are advantageous
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
Enjoyment of varied technical projects and direct exchange with customers
High willingness to learn and interest in continuous technological development
