Job Description
The Pallas Clinics specialise in ophthalmology, dermatology and aesthetic medicine. With more than 350 employees at 17 locations, the clinic group is one of the leading and independent private clinics in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Excellent medicine and humane treatment are the guiding principles. The headquarters in Olten, with around 50 employees, is responsible for operational management.

IT System Engineer 100%
Tasks
- System management: setup, integration and operation of new systems as well as interfaces
- Server management: administration and further development of our server landscape (physical and virtual) including archiving and IAM processes
- Workstation management: setup and maintenance of workstations, both physical and virtual
- Monitoring: system monitoring of the entire IT infrastructure (PRTG)
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: management and updating of the VDI environment
- Operating system automation: further development and support of automated processes for patch management as well as maintenance and updating of operating systems.
- Application management: implementation and integration of software solutions into existing and new infrastructures (on-premise & cloud)
- Network management: configuration and optimisation of network solutions at all locations as well as setup of new networks
- Cloud management: administration of cloud services and resources, migration of services to the cloud and optimisation of the cloud infrastructure
- Backup management: administration and assurance of regular data backups as well as verification of recoverability within the framework of emergency strategies
Job Requirements
- A completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification is an advantage but not mandatory. However, training in computer science is essential
- At least 3-5 years of work experience in the support of ICT systems, including network, server and application management, including experience in managing virtual workstations and operating systems
- Skills in scripting and programming as well as the ability to analyse complex systems and make data-driven decisions
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, HPE / Aruba, Barracuda, Exchange, SCCM, and PRTG is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in German and ideally good English skills
