The contribution you can make
- Prepare political affairs, commission documents and statements in a well-founded and audience-appropriate manner
- Analyse political affairs, professional topics and relevant developments across the board, recognise cross-references and dependencies and derive a coherent overall picture for the work of the team and the department
- Identify and highlight strategic potentials, fields of action and concrete impulses for political work, cross-departmental collaboration and leadership from this overall picture
- Participate in the preparation and follow-up of the management meeting (VBS departmental management - armasuisse leadership)
What makes you unique
- University or university of applied sciences degree in social sciences or business administration, preferably in political science, public management or international relations
- Several years of practical experience in the field of political affairs or related areas of activity, preferably at the federal level
- Strong initiative, high commitment and enjoyment of teamwork in a dynamic, politically sensitive environment
- Strong strategic and networked thinking as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex issues, connect different perspectives, recognise contexts and potentials and derive relevant conclusions
- Excellent editorial skills enabling you to present complex issues and problems convincingly and succinctly, taking into account various stakeholders
- Good oral and written knowledge of a second official language as well as English are required
