The Adullam Foundation is a leading institution for geriatric medicine, therapy, and care in Northwestern Switzerland. It operates a hospital and an affiliated care center in Basel and Riehen. The approximately 800 employees provide elderly people with a regionally unique comprehensive care from acute medicine to rehabilitation and transitional and long-term care. Speech therapy is firmly integrated into the treatment of our elderly patients by the interdisciplinary team in our hospital. The focus is on acute medical treatment as well as holistic rehabilitation for medical conditions, as well as neurorehabilitation.

To strengthen the speech therapy team at the Basel location, we are looking for a responsible and committed individual by agreement.

Your Tasks

Speech therapy diagnostics and treatment of dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphonia in inpatient and outpatient settings

Co-responsibility for clarifying the overall situation and treatment of patients in the interprofessional team

Treatment of acute geriatric, acute inpatient, and rehabilitation patients with conditions from the fields of geriatrics, internal medicine, surgery, and neurology (including tracheostomized patients in long-term care), as well as ENT-specific cases.

Consultation of relatives and caregivers

Documentation of findings and electronic progress documentation as well as performance recording

Constructive interdisciplinary and professional collaboration

Your Profile

Completed training as a qualified speech therapist or EDK recognition in speech therapy

Initial professional experience in the clinical field, ideally in inpatient geriatrics

Ideally in possession of a professional license

Dynamic, team-oriented, and resilient personality who actively contributes to constructive collaboration in the lively hospital environment

Joy and interest in working with elderly people

Independent and networked thinking work style

Good PC skills for documentation
