The SONNENBERG Competence Centre is a special education service organisation. Children, adolescents and adults with visual impairment, blindness, blindness and/or visual impairment with multiple disabilities, speech impairment and severe behavioural disorders are accompanied and taught.

An interdisciplinary team of 300 employees is committed to the education and support of the assigned clients. The Behaviour Plus offer is a segregated day school and boarding school offer for children and adolescents in cycles 1-3. The offer provides specialised, individualised and structured teaching for pupils on the autism spectrum, combined with practical learning, movement and vocational preparation in a structured and safe environment.

Your tasks: Design, Strengthen and Lead
- Meaningful development: You lead, organise and shape the "Behaviour Plus" offer with foresight. Attitudes, concepts and processes are continuously developed in collaboration with the team leaders in the interests of our clients and modern special education.
- Values as a compass: You ensure that the institution's and offer's goals are tangibly lived in everyday life – supported by our strategy and mission statement.
- Leadership at eye level: You lead your team leaders both professionally and personally and accompany them as a reliable sparring partner in all personnel management matters.
- Rock in the surf: In crisis situations, you intervene calmly, de-escalate and solution-oriented.
- Creating resilience: You strengthen resilience and cooperation within and between teams.
- Quality & control: You are responsible for the budget for the assigned cost centres, ensure the high quality of our offer (teaching, concepts, processes) and ensure controlling with regard to legal requirements and internal guidelines.
- Achieving great things together: You actively and proactively participate in cross-offer projects to advance Sonnenberg as a whole.
Your profile: Professional competence meets inner attitude
- Special education foundation: You have a professional qualification in curative education or social pedagogy and are committed to a demanding, highly specialised environment.
- Leadership personality with stature: You have several years of solid leadership experience – especially in supporting and enabling interdisciplinary professionals.
- Management competence: Your leadership skills have been theoretically underpinned by further training at university, university of applied sciences or higher vocational school level with a certificate (CAS).
- Specific know-how: You possess disability-specific further training (e.g. CAS Autism) or are motivated to deepen your knowledge in this area continuously.
