Senior IT Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to operate complex IT environments, drive technical improvements, and work on infrastructure that is used internationally? In this role, you combine network operations, IT security, data centre technologies, and hybrid cloud services. You take responsibility for stable systems and bring your experience to technical projects as well as the continuous optimisation of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Network and Security
You ensure the reliable operation of the global network infrastructure and develop it purposefully.
You manage and optimise network components as well as associated security solutions.
You analyse faults, support troubleshooting, and contribute to the stability and security of the systems.
Data Centre and Cloud
You support the operation and expansion of the data centre environment.
You work on hybrid cloud services with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
You document technical contexts, keep operational concepts up to date, and create comprehensible foundations for ongoing operations.
Projects and Operations
You plan and implement infrastructure improvements together with the involved specialists.
You support first- and second-level support with more complex technical questions.
You take on on-call and maintenance duties and are available outside regular working hours if required.
Qualifications:
You have completed IT training or hold an equivalent qualification.
You bring several years of experience in the support and development of network and infrastructure environments.
You are familiar with network architectures, IT security, and data centre technologies.
You have planned or implemented infrastructure projects and can translate technical requirements into structured solutions.
You work analytically, carefully, and independently and like to take responsibility.
You communicate confidently with technical and non-technical contacts and work service-oriented in a team.
You have very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
