DevOps Engineer Virtualisation (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 130,000Role:
As a DevOps Engineer Virtualisation, you think of systems in code rather than click paths. The focus is on automated deployment of Windows Server domains, clean architectures and reproducible deployments via Ansible. The stack ranges from the hypervisor through Active Directory to the firewall, and you are confident at all levels. You actively shape standards, automation levels and scalability.
Responsibilities:
You provide domain environments fully automatically, from bootstrap to rollback
You write playbooks and PowerShell modules for provisioning, patching and recurring rollouts
Additionally, you operate virtualisation platforms, firewall clusters and network segments
You design system architectures that scale horizontally and remain maintainable
You implement backup, restore and hardening concepts technically and test them regularly
Furthermore, you gradually increase the internal automation level step by step
Qualifications:
You have solid knowledge of Windows Server, directory services, DNS, DHCP and group policies
Automation with Ansible, PowerShell or similar tools is part of your daily routine
Furthermore, you bring practical experience in virtualisation, firewalling, routing and VLAN design
Version control, infrastructure as code and pipeline logic are familiar to you
You work independently, document thoroughly and bring topics to completion
Additionally, you analyse causes rather than symptoms and communicate effortlessly in German as well as technical English
