As a Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you take on a central role in the operation and further development of hybrid IT infrastructures. The focus is on VMware, modern enterprise server hardware, and Veeam, as well as integration with cloud services. You operate between stable operation, demanding 3rd level support, and project work in the data centre environment. Responsibilities:
You operate, maintain, and optimise hybrid IT infrastructures and drive their technical advancement.
You plan, configure, and migrate on-premises and data centre solutions in customer projects as well as in the internal data centre.
Furthermore, you contribute conceptually and operationally to patch, update, and lifecycle management, for example with Azure Update Management.
You analyse complex faults in 3rd level support and resolve them sustainably.
You independently carry out smaller projects and technical tasks or work closely with project management.
Additionally, you accompany operational handovers and ensure structured, comprehensible documentation of system environments.
Qualifications:
You have completed IT training, ideally supplemented by further education at HF, FH level or equivalent.
You bring several years of experience in operating data centre, virtualisation, or hybrid cloud environments.
Sound knowledge in virtualisation, enterprise server hardware, and backup solutions are among your strengths.
Moreover, you are familiar with the implementation, migration, and integration of on-premises solutions from practical experience.
You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and value teamwork.
Additionally, you communicate confidently in German and are proficient in spoken and written English.
