How you can contribute
- Work on and further develop projects, calculation tools and data, especially in the areas of life cycle assessment and greenhouse gas inventories, quality control of eco-inventories from the construction sector
- Further develop and update the "Corporate Footprint Calculator" and the life cycle assessment database of the federal administration
- Improve enforcement and control instruments in the field of circular economy and, for example, carry out checks on the availability of spare parts
- Research information on current and future topics in environmental research
- Analyse datasets from completed projects in environmental research and environmental technology promotion
- Contribute to the editing of the Environmental Research Concept 2029-2032 and the preparation of the Federal Council report on environmental technology promotion 2022-2026
What makes you unique
- University degree in engineering, environmental or natural sciences
- Experience with life cycle assessment (ideally with OpenLCA) and enjoyment of analysing numbers as well as knowledge of programming (Python, R and Excel)
- Knowledge in resource-efficient production, innovative technologies and circular economy
- Independent, structured and careful working style as well as initiative and commitment
- Good verbal and written communication skills and active knowledge of a second official language
