Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Understanding, stabilising and improving complex IT infrastructures is exactly your thing? This position combines classic system operations with cloud engineering, automation and modern Microsoft technologies – ideal for a technically strong IT generalist eager for challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and operation of powerful hybrid IT infrastructures
Technical support of Windows-based server, client and application environments
Further development of on-premises and cloud infrastructures
Administration of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
Building and optimisation of identity and access structures with Active Directory and Entra ID
Automation of recurring administrative tasks with PowerShell
Design and further development of virtualisation platforms
Planning and optimisation of backup and recovery strategies
Analysis of network issues and optimisation of infrastructure communication
Support with demanding incidents and technical escalations
Participation in cloud migrations, system modernisations and infrastructure projects
Technical implementation of new platforms and services
Taking over defined project streams including planning, implementation and documentation
Introduction and improvement of monitoring, security and operational standards
Qualifications:
Solid practical experience in system engineering, IT infrastructure or cloud operations
Completed IT training or comparable technical practical experience
Very good knowledge of Microsoft infrastructures
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
Good knowledge of network technologies
Practical knowledge in virtualisation, backup and cloud computing
Experience with PowerShell or comparable automation technologies is an advantage
Analytical thinking and strong troubleshooting skills
Independent working style and high personal responsibility
Interest in modern cloud and infrastructure architectures
Willingness to share knowledge and actively shape technical standards
