Professor in Educational Leadership 80-100%

The professorship in Educational Leadership makes a significant teaching and research contribution to the question of Educational Leadership in Switzerland. It is located in the Department of Continuing Education and Consulting of the Vice-Rectorate for Continuing Education and Services in the Management and Leadership Centre. The position includes independent research activities, but also teaching and/or consulting activities for leaders within the centre's offerings. The post holder is well networked internationally and nationally, both in academia and in practice, and represents the university and the subject area internally and externally. In the Management and Leadership Centre, the position serves to collaboratively strengthen and develop research perspectives in the field of Educational Leadership. Close cooperation with colleagues from Continuing Education and Consulting as well as Research and Development is expected.
The position is permanent. Depending on the qualifications and performance record of the applicant, an appointment as Assistant Professor with tenure track is also possible. If the specified criteria are met, the position will be made permanent after six years.
Your responsibilities.
- Design and implementation of research projects in the field of Educational Leadership in Switzerland
- Design, development and participation in the training and further education of leaders in educational organisations in the Management and Leadership Centre (MAL)
- Consulting and support of leaders and educational organisations as well as academic junior staff
- Strengthening research perspectives in the MAL Centre
- Representation of the subject area and the university externally (internationally and nationally, academia and practice)
Your profile.
- Relevant doctorate
- Habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements in the field of Educational Leadership desired
- Higher education didactic qualification (e.g. CAS Higher Education Didactics or comparable qualification)
- Proven research competence including successful acquisition, implementation and management of third-party funded projects
- Extensive publication activity at a high qualitative level as well as broad networking in the international research community of the subject area
- Experience in training and further education, especially in consulting and supporting leaders in educational organisations
- High communication skills (academia and practice)
- Willingness to cooperate closely within the university
