The Bachem Group is investing in a new planned site in Sisslerfeld in Northwestern Switzerland. This step is part of the long-term strategy to expand production capacities by the end of the decade. To strengthen our team in the Manufacturing and Process Technology (MPT) area within Technical Operations (TechOps), we are seeking a committed individual as Senior Process Specialist Manufacturing & Process Technology - Sisslerfeld Site Development (a) 100%.

Your responsibilities:

• Participation in the establishment of MPT business processes as part of site development
• Collaboration in establishing and continuously improving (MPT) processes, standards, and KPIs
• Reporting to Head MPT Sisslerfeld and professional cooperation with Head of TechOps Sisslerfeld, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
• Developing user requirements together with the future operator and ensuring their correct and GMP-compliant implementation in all design phases of the project, focusing on downstream and dispensation
• Creating, reviewing, and/or revising POLs (Policies), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and WOIs (Work Instructions)
• Professional support in planning and implementing cleaning validations
• Contact person / SME for Manufacturing and Materials Management regarding process-technical questions, deviations, and implementation of CAPA measures
• Contributing to strengthening the GMP and HSE culture within the team and production environment

Your profile:

• Completed studies in chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biotechnology, or a comparable field
• Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment is an advantage (ideally peptide synthesis as well as API purification and isolation)
• Good knowledge of process engineering and plant design as well as regulatory requirements (e.g. ICH Q7, FDA, EMA)
• Enthusiasm for participating in a project to establish a new site
• Structured, precise, and quality-conscious working style with a high standard for documentation and compliance
• Independent and solution-oriented working style as well as the ability to develop pragmatic solutions in complex or unclear situations
