Additionally, you ensure the safe handling of contaminated materials (contaminated sites) in compliance with national and international environmental and disposal regulations. Your tasks

• Logistics & disposal solutions – You review disposal notifications and ensure optimal allocation to suitable disposal and recycling partners, taking acceptance criteria into account. You also coordinate transport by truck, rail, and ship domestically and internationally.
• Development & innovation – Further development of existing and new recycling and disposal solutions under economically attractive conditions.
• Legal regulations – Responsibility for compliance with all relevant legal standards and technical norms.
• Project & data management – Maintenance and management of supplier relationships, cost accounting, as well as controlling and reporting tasks.
• Contract management and authority contact – Support in preparing annual contracts with end recipients and maintaining contact with authorities.
• Strategic support – Participation in the long-term securing of landfill volumes and disposal options.
• Hazardous goods and notifications – Advising on the organisation of hazardous goods transports and preparing notifications for cross-border disposal.

Your profile

• Completed studies in environmental engineering, process engineering, or comparable technical education
• Several years of experience in disposal, waste management, recycling, logistics, or the construction/environmental sector
• A well-established network in the disposal and recycling industry is a plus
• Further training in disposal, logistics, or environmental management is advantageous
• Knowledge of legal frameworks in waste management (Swiss environmental law, international regulations)
• Ideally experience with cross-border disposal processes and official procedures (e.g. VeVA, notifications)
• Entrepreneurial thinking and negotiation skills
• Strong team skills as well as independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Very good German skills; English and/or French skills are an advantage
