Your Tasks – Our Position
Operation & Continuous Improvement (Run)
- Level 2 support: handling tickets, diagnosing and resolving common faults on the VDI Omnissa Horizon, Workspace ONE, Windows and Linux virtualisation infrastructures
- Daily monitoring of the assigned infrastructures, overseeing and addressing infrastructure alerts, reviewing reports, resolving common errors and escalating complex cases
- Operation and ongoing management of the VDI environment Omnissa Horizon: maintenance work, patching and performance monitoring
- Administration of the VMware vSphere and Workspace ONE platforms and monitoring their proper operation
- Administration of the Microsoft 365 environment, with a particular focus on Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and SharePoint Online
- Management and administration of the strong authentication solution Imprivata
- Coordination with the network team to integrate network requirements into the server and virtualisation infrastructures under own responsibility
- Implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity policies in collaboration with the Cyber Security department
- Technical maintenance, securing and continuous development of the assigned IT infrastructure
- Active participation in projects related to modernisation, automation and optimisation of these infrastructures and services
- Participation in on-call duty according to the deployment schedule
Documentation & Quality
- Creation and maintenance of detailed documentation of the infrastructures in French or German
- Creation of technical documentation in English
- Adherence to defined escalation processes for faults not resolvable at Level 2
- Implementation of security policies and rules specified by the Cyber Security department and reporting of identified non-compliances
Your Skills – Our Requirements
- Education in IT (EFZ, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience in Level 2 IT support and/or system and infrastructure administration, ideally in a hospital environment
- Solid knowledge of VDI virtualisation with Omnissa Horizon and administration of VMware vSphere
- Good knowledge of installation and administration of Windows and Linux servers
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment, especially Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and SharePoint Online
- Experience in administration of Workspace ONE
- Knowledge of the strong authentication solution Imprivata is an advantage
- Knowledge of Fortinet security solutions (FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail) is an advantage
- Sensitivity to cybersecurity topics and good knowledge of best practices
- Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerShell scripting
- Participation in updating and maintaining the monitoring system WhatsUp Gold
- Strong team spirit and good communication skills
- Ability to independently handle defined tasks while working closely with Digital & Technology staff
- Careful, reliable and service-oriented working style
- Native German or French speaker with good knowledge of the other language
- Good basic knowledge of technical English
