About the job
Customer Service Advisor with Industry Experience
Permanent position · 80 – 100 % · Start by arrangement
You are the person our customers like to remember, thanks to your social and professional competence.
So not just the repair, not the invoice. But how they were treated if, for example, something took longer or was more expensive than discussed. That is why this position with us is not just a reception role, but one of the most important in the company.
Sportgarage Schweizer is owner-managed. Our customers pay our wages, not a corporation and not a budget from headquarters. That is a pleasant difference: What you agree with a customer applies. You do not have to ask anyone for permission who does not know you.
Key Data
Workplace: Mettmenstetten
Workload: 80 – 100 %
Start: by arrangement
Team: 6 employees, including 1 apprentice
Brands: stop+go partner (mainly VW Group vehicles)
What your day looks like
You discuss the planned work with the customer at reception and at the vehicle. If you see that something else is due, you address it. If the customer has an additional need, you sell it to them. You prepare the cost estimate in consultation with the workshop team, obtain the customer's approval and record what was agreed. If the workshop team has a query, you pick up the phone instead of leaving it unanswered. When handing back the vehicle, you explain what was done and why it cost that much – before the customer pays, not afterwards.
- Appointment scheduling and capacity utilisation, together with the workshop manager
- Acceptance interview (if needed on the vehicle), cost estimate, approval
- Receiving complaints and bringing them to a conclusion
- Handling tyre warranty cases
- Organising external orders
- Vehicle handover
- Callbacks – every customer within the agreed timeframe
- Proactively contacting customers when service, MOT or tyre changes are due
- Passing on trade-in and used car opportunities to the vehicle trade
Who fits with us
Training in the automotive industry is mandatory. You do not have to be able to do mechanical work yourself, but you know what a cost estimate, an MOT or a tyre warranty case is – without anyone having to explain it to you. The position is not suitable without any technical or vehicle-related background. This is deliberately not an entry-level job for career changers.
The rest is character. You listen until someone is finished. You endure an angry customer without justifying yourself and without immediately giving in. You say early if something goes wrong – even if it is unpleasant. And you remain friendly when the phone rings at the same time, someone is standing in front of you and the workshop wants something from you.
What we offer
- A mission statement that we all live by – together and for each other
- Own competencies, documented in writing
- Direct contact to the owner and other team members, without detours
- Daily exchange and open communication
- Quarterly performance reviews
- Fairness and equality for all
- Suggestion box
- Attractive base salary plus a performance-related component
- We talk about lived performance, not "market conformity"
- 5 weeks holiday
- 2 days training per year
- A company where you can see what you contribute
- A company that is currently developing further – and where your opinion counts
When it does not fit
Better to say it now than in the third month. If a lot of customer contact and being friendly is too exhausting for you in the long run. If you postpone bad news until the customer calls by themselves. If it is uncomfortable for you to address meaningful additional work. If you do not want part of your salary to depend on facts.
Application
A CV is sufficient for us. Please also write a few lines about how you last won back an angry customer – or why it did not succeed. We are interested in both.

We will get back to you within five working days. Even if it is a rejection.
If you are unsure whether it fits: just call. A phone call is faster than an application that benefits no one. We thank you for the general understanding that we only process applications that meet the requirements profile.
