For 50 years, we have developed leading in-vitro diagnostic products (IVD) trusted by hospitals and private medical laboratories worldwide. We employ over 150 staff, of which 140 are in Schönenbuch.
To strengthen our Operations team, we are looking for a committed individual as:
Facility Management Specialist (m/f/d) 100%
As a central control point, you coordinate all facility-related matters at BÜHLMANN. You report directly to the COO and, as an operational and strategic contact, ensure the safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operation of our properties in the regulated laboratory environment. In addition, you support and strengthen the topics of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) at BÜHLMANN as a contact, trainer, and trusted person, actively driving safe, compliant, and sustainable building and operational processes forward.
Your tasks – your opportunity
- Service provider management & performance management: Central coordination and management of all external FM service providers (TGM/IGM) including regular service reviews, performance analyses, and monitoring of SLAs/KPIs.
- EHS & ESG promotion: Active embedding of EHS and ESG topics as a contact, trainer, and trusted person as well as advancing sustainable, safe, and environmentally appropriate building processes.
- Quality & compliance assurance: Compliance with and monitoring of all safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards in the regulated laboratory and GMP environment.
- Management of internal cleaning services: Professional leadership of internal cleaning staff as well as coordination and quality control of all internally provided cleaning work.
- Security & building control systems: Operational support and ensuring compliance of access control systems (ZUKO/building matrix) as well as temperature and security-related monitoring systems (e.g. MySirius).
- Procurement & order management: Central handling of internal orders in the FM area, standardisation of materials/equipment, as well as conducting offer comparisons and interface optimisation.
- Lease contract management: Independent management of all lease contracts (areas, deadlines, costs), support with space planning, relocations, and negotiations with landlords.
- Fleet management: Coordination of the fleet (company vehicles), management of leasing, maintenance, insurance, and participation in sustainable mobility policies.
- Budget control & reporting: Operational involvement in budget planning and cost control in the FM area as well as preparation of KPI overviews and reports for management (COO).
- Audit & inspection tracking: Active support, preparation, and accompaniment of internal and external audits as well as official inspections in the FM environment.
- Process optimisation: Continuous analysis of building processes to increase efficiency, improve operational safety, and sustainably reduce costs.
Your profile – what you bring
- Education: Technical or commercial training related to facility management, building technology, or comparable qualification.
- Professional experience: Initial to several years of professional experience in facility/building management as well as solid practice in managing external service providers.
- Industry knowledge: Experience in regulated environments (laboratory, pharma, diagnostics) is an advantage.
- IT skills: Confident use of MS365 as well as practical knowledge of access control and temperature monitoring software.
- Personality: Structured, independent working style, entrepreneurial thinking with cost awareness, assertiveness, and high service orientation.
- Languages: Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form.
