Job Description
Are you meticulous, organised, autonomous and have a sense of public service? Join the Residence Sector as a case manager to ensure the administrative follow-up of asylum seekers, provisionally admitted persons and refugees assigned to the canton of Vaud. You contribute to the smooth running of their administrative process by ensuring the rigorous maintenance of files and the reliability of information, in compliance with the applicable legal framework. In direct contact with the persons concerned, you welcome, inform and support them with professionalism, clarity and respect.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle the files of asylum seekers, provisionally admitted persons, refugees and persons under temporary protection by ensuring the filing and management of related documents, in accordance with residence and asylum law
- Handle the main administrative procedures related to permits, including grants, changes of address and other changes in status
- Process requests and related benefits, including travel documents, emergency aid, birth registrations, readmissions and requests related to gainful employment
- Contribute to the operational efficiency of the sector, notably through reception at the counter, telephone switchboard, opening and monitoring of files and handling of the mailbox
- Ensure the updating of data related to assigned files in data management IT systems
- Upon request from the Division management, carry out occasional tasks related to the smooth running of the sector

Qualifications
- Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in administration or case management
- Knowledge of asylum law and foreign nationals law, good general knowledge and interest in following global political and economic news
- Good command of IT tools
- Interpersonal skills and diplomacy, autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Ability to withstand pressure, capacity to work under stress
- Ability to communicate in English, other languages welcome
Fixed-term contract of one year, renewable.
