Technical Buyer (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to apply your experience in technical purchasing and help shape demanding procurement projects? In this role, you combine strategic purchasing decisions with operational tasks, coordinate suppliers, and ensure economical procurement solutions.
Responsibilities:
You develop procurement concepts based on internal requirements and coordinate these with the responsible departments.
You monitor market developments and new technologies, identify suitable suppliers, and open up economical purchasing opportunities.
You organise tenders, compare offers based on technical and commercial criteria, and conduct contract negotiations.
You coordinate order processes, delivery dates, and purchasing budgets and keep track of open commitments in the ERP system.
You design delivery and contract agreements considering technical, economic, and financial requirements.
You review supplier performance and handle quality deviations and complaints.
You analyse purchasing key figures and cost developments and implement improvement measures.
You ensure compliance with internal procurement guidelines and applicable Swiss environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
You have a technical basic education with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) and further training in purchasing or a university degree in supply chain management.
You bring at least five years of experience in operational or strategic purchasing, preferably from a technical industrial company.
You have experience in technical purchasing and are familiar with procurement processes.
You are confident in using ERP systems; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
You have good knowledge of tendering procedures as well as contract drafting and negotiation.
You convince through negotiation skills, cost awareness, and an independent, analytical, and structured way of working.
You are willing to travel within Switzerland and Europe.
You have business fluent German and good English skills; French skills are an advantage.
