Team Leader Facility Maintenance 80%
The General Secretariat is the staff organisation of the Education Directorate. Around 60 employees provide central services for the Director and the offices. The Operations team of the Construction Department of the General Secretariat, together with the local organisations, ensures through its value-preserving measures that the buildings of the vocational and secondary schools remain in a needs-based and sustainable condition. Approximately CHF 14 million per year is available for the maintenance of the 180 buildings in the upper secondary portfolio.
From November 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a team-oriented and committed individual.
Your area of responsibility
- Leadership and coordination of the operations team as well as ensuring efficient and quality-oriented service delivery
- Planning, organisation and supervision of ongoing building operations
- Operator responsibility according to the cantonal tenant model, checking and enforcing compliance with legal requirements, standards, guidelines and safety requirements
- Planning and control of value-preserving measures and costs; independent handling of operator projects up to CHF 300,000
- Ensuring operational and system documentation
- Further development of the operations organisation
- Central contact person for the 40 cantonal vocational and secondary schools
Your profile
- You have a technical or craft-based education, ideally supplemented by further training in facility management, building technology or facility maintenance
- You have at least 10 years of professional experience, ideally in a leadership or coordination role.
- You are characterised by high flexibility, conceptual thinking, independence as well as communication and negotiation skills.
