How you can contribute
- Take on project management on behalf of MeteoSwiss and redesign and improve meteorological products and services for the army
- Advance collaboration with the army on meteorological
- issues
- Advise and support the army in gathering requirements and selecting weather products
- Develop IT solutions for weather that effectively support the army in its work
- Translate complex meteorological questions into products
- Use your knowledge of weather and climate for the benefit of the population
What makes you unique
- Degree (Master's or Doctorate) in environmental or natural sciences or computer science with in-depth knowledge of meteorology
- Good technical knowledge in software development (Python), cloud infrastructures or IT operations
- Enthusiasm and preferably experience in managing customer projects
- Passion for working with and on weather data
- Advantageous to have experience in business analysis as well as in gathering and structuring professional requirements
- Active knowledge of two official languages and good English skills

As a weather specialist and software developer, you create new services and products for the army as part of a team. You take overall responsibility for the development project and transform the army’s requirements into useful products.
