From 1 February 2027 or by arrangement, the Directorate of Security and Properties is looking for you as

Head of Security Department (80-100 %)

This is what you will achieve with us

• Operational, personnel and strategic management of the Security Department (civil protection, municipal police, fire brigade and resident services)
• Preparation and support of municipal council and parliamentary matters as well as public messages
• Responsibility for the organisational development of the Security Department and the associated militia organisations
• Responsibility for financial control and budgeting
• Leadership or participation in interdisciplinary projects
• Support for the Director and Municipal Council in public on security-related topics

This is how you will inspire us

• Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master), supplemented by further training in management and/or project management
• Many years of professional and leadership experience, preferably in a comparable leadership role
• Strong leadership and methodological skills as well as high implementation and decision-making ability
• Structured, solution-oriented and networked working style with pronounced strategic thinking
• Confident communication in German and a confident manner towards internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of public administration is an advantage
