What you can contribute

• Responsible for the availability, stability and security of the ICT systems that enable the deployment of the F-35A
• Analyse more complex faults up to the root cause, resolve them within the scope of incident and problem management, and derive sustainable preventive measures
• Implement security requirements in operation such as system hardening, vulnerability and patch management, and participate in security checks and approvals
• Automate and further develop system operation configuration management, deployment and patch processes as well as monitoring
• Lead technical coordination with manufacturers, suppliers, international programme partners and the Swiss Air Force teams
• Assess technical developments and change requests regarding their impact on operation, security and compliance, and develop and implement appropriate solutions

What makes you unique

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training, with several years of experience in operating complex ICT environments with high security requirements
• Extensive experience in the administration of Windows server and application environments, including Active Directory, patch and release management, as well as troubleshooting down to the application level
• Very good knowledge of virtualisation and disaster recovery (Hyper-V, VMware) as well as backup and restore concepts for physical and virtual systems
• In-depth knowledge of network administration and databases as well as practical implementation of security requirements such as firewalls, system hardening and vulnerability remediation
• Experience in automating operational tasks (e.g. PowerShell, configuration management) as well as analysing and further developing technical processes
• Independent, analytical working style as well as active knowledge of a second official language and good technical English skills

In a nutshell

In the F-35A programme, you support the ICT systems that make the deployment of the combat aircraft possible in the first place. A task for which there are only a few specialists in Switzerland. As part of the Cyber Command, you work closely with the Air Force, the manufacturer and international programme partners in a classified environment. Your work directly affects the operational readiness of the Air Force and thus the security of Switzerland.

Additional information

CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications are advantageous. Knowledge of military leadership and operational processes is also beneficial. The systems are operated around the clock; on-call and weekend duties are part of the role. For assignments at various locations, you need a category B driving licence.
