As the cantonal capital and regional centre, the city of Schaffhausen is an important supra-regional cultural hub. The Museum zu Allerheiligen is one of the most significant multi-disciplinary museums in Switzerland: it combines archaeology, history, art and nature under one roof. In special exhibitions and collection presentations, it invites you to view the world from different perspectives.


Start date: 1 January 2027

Museum Internship: Exhibitions/Inventory/Communication

In this exciting role

• you will gain insight into all relevant areas and diverse tasks of a museum.
• you will work on ongoing projects.
• you will assist with upcoming exhibitions.
• you will be responsible for text and image editing and writing short texts.
• you will provide valuable input for our social media presence.
• you will update our database.
• you will support us with collection work: appraisal and documentation of donations, preparation of loans and image orders.
• you will research our collections for enquiries, exhibitions and educational offers.
• you will inventory objects.

You will be successful here

• due to your recently completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in history, art history, natural sciences, cultural studies or a related field.
• thanks to your precise and independent working style.
• because of your great interest in exhibiting and museum work, as well as working in an interdisciplinary team.
• due to your excellent German language skills.
• because you have the necessary proficiency in using Office applications and databases.

The internship is limited to 1 year and comprises a 100% workload.
