The municipality of Risch is a progressive and dynamic community that enjoys a high level of trust from its over 11,800 residents. This is thanks to the daily commitment of around 300 employees, for whom service and solution orientation are a matter of course. The schools in Risch offer good learning conditions to around 1,150 pupils at various locations. Due to pupil growth, we are strengthening our organisation and forming two teams each in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 from the three existing kindergarten/primary school teams in the coming school year.

We are looking for a Headteacher Cycle 1 (80% - 85% workload) from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement

Your tasks

• Educational, personnel, and organisational leadership of a team in Cycle 1 with six kindergarten departments, seven primary classes (1st/2nd) and 28 teachers
• Leadership, support and promotion of teachers (including employee appraisals and lesson observations)
• Recruitment and induction of new teachers
• Participation in school and quality development as well as in the school management team
• Planning of class, pupil, workload and room allocations
• Responsible for the financial matters of your school unit
• Collaboration with specialist offices and other school partners
• Contact person for parents and guardians

Our requirements

• Completed school management training and several years of professional and leadership experience
• Possession of a teaching diploma for the primary school level
• Communicative leadership personality with natural authority and assertiveness
• Networked and varied thinking, goal-oriented and prudent action
• Positive and pedagogical basic attitude
• Resilience, reliability, ability to accept criticism, teamwork skills
• Confident in dealing with parents, teachers and authorities
• Sound knowledge of current school issues
