Our institution has developed over time into a modern center for special education, which covers today's needs in the special and social pedagogical field with a diverse range of services. Around 240 people work in the areas of special school, boarding school, therapy, integrative special education measures, services, and administration.

In the area of day special school, we run an individual offer on behalf of the public school office for six students of all ages in the Olten area.

For our small class Schulinsel Fuxbau (individual offer) in Ifenthal, we are looking for a

Social Pedagogue or Experienced Career Changer for Individual Offers, 50-60%, starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement

Actively shape...

• Care & Support: You accompany our children and young people in everyday life, mainly in an individual setting (1:1) – both in the school building and during outdoor activities in nature.
• Teamwork & Promotion: You work closely with our school team and support the development of students' self- and social competence.
• Action-oriented everyday life: You contribute to students experiencing their self-efficacy and creating the foundation for school learning in the small group.
• Nature & Experiential Education: Together with the team, you meaningfully link nature and experiential education with school content.

• Experience & Attitude: You have experience working with children and young people who show challenging behavior and bring a relationship-oriented basic attitude.
• Expertise & Further Education: Ideally, you have knowledge in trauma pedagogy, autism spectrum, and/or attachment-based pedagogy or show interest in further training in these areas.
• Connection to Nature: You enjoy being outdoors and like working in nature in all weather conditions.
• Creativity & Flexibility: You are willing to support a structured concept while developing creative, individual, and partly unconventional pedagogical approaches.

• Personality: You are an initiative-taking, resilient, flexible, and solution-oriented person with an open and creative nature.
• Working Hours: You are willing to work Monday to Friday mornings. Possibly also midday care and some afternoons are possible.
• Driver's License: You have a category B driver's license.
