What you can contribute

• Plan, implement and operate modern IaC and GitOps solutions as well as take responsibility for the entire deployment cycle
• Design, operate, automate and further develop MLOps environments for the deployment, monitoring and reliable operation of AI and machine learning models throughout their entire lifecycle up to GPGPU hardware
• Administer, maintain and continuously optimise complex Linux system landscapes for the end-to-end operation of an ICT layer for a data platform to ensure stable and high-performance operation
• Holistically administer Linux systems, optimise performance and implement system hardening and security configurations
• Operate, further develop and optimise monitoring, logging and observability solutions to ensure reliable system operation
• Maintain the physical infrastructure in the data centre with server, network and data centre components as well as support installations and maintenance work

What makes you unique

• Completed training in the IT field at HF/FH level as well as several years of practical experience in engineering and operating complex IT systems
• Solid DevOps expertise through several years of experience in building, operating and automating modern Linux infrastructures as well as comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, GitOps and related processes
• Striving for excellence with a high willingness to learn and openness to holistic, elegant ICT solutions as well as innovative approaches off the mainstream such as Dhall, pull-GitOps and "Dew-" and "Fog-Computing" paradigms
• Hands-on mentality as well as an independent and team-oriented personality with joy in working across the entire technology stack – from physical infrastructure in the data centre to automated platform and big data environments such as ClickHouse and Kafka
• An impeccable reputation as well as the ability to integrate into an intelligence environment and act discreetly at all times are prerequisites
• Active knowledge of a second official language as well as good English skills

In a nutshell

You are part of a data science team in the field of processing collected civilian and military communication data. The intelligence insights gained support the NDB and the MND and thus make an important contribution to Switzerland's security policy. As a DevOps Engineer III, you are professionally co-responsible for the design, implementation and operation of a large, distributed data infrastructure.
