About the job

As an apprentice FaBe MiA, you bring joy of life directly to people’s homes. You support elderly residents of Zurich so that they can continue to live independently and with a high quality of life at home. You accompany them in various life situations and specialise in their needs. We train the new professional branch FaBe (specialisation MiA - People in Old Age). Our full-time and dedicated trainers offer you individual support and guidance in a lively environment.

GOOD REASONS FOR YOUR APPRENTICESHIP WITH US

  • Your tasks are very varied and exciting: from activity planning to conducting conversations as well as high-quality outpatient hospital care and support.
  • You will receive structured training with a comprehensive introduction to your area of work.
  • Our motivated and qualified trainers will guide you towards responsible and independent working, and you will be supported and developed both theoretically and practically at your current level of knowledge.
  • In the project week at the start of your apprenticeship, you will meet all the new apprentices and begin your professional life together.
  • You can expect a working environment with modern tools (smartphone or tablet) and daily travel by e-bike.
  • In the 3rd year of apprenticeship, you will expand your experience with an external internship in the long-term care sector.
  • 6 weeks’ holiday and regulated working hours.
  • You have the opportunity to complete the BMS alongside your apprenticeship with us.
  • You can also develop further with us after your apprenticeship (permanent employment, studies).

  • You enjoy interacting with, caring for and supporting elderly people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • You bring a high level of responsibility and empathy.
  • You are reliable and flexible and appreciate variety in your work.
  • You enjoy working independently as well as in a team.
  • You are communicative and can quickly adapt to different situations and act creatively in finding solutions.
  • You are healthy and resilient both physically and mentally.
  • You have a school leaving certificate Sek A, Sek B or 10th school year with good grades.
  • Your German skills are good (at least level B2).
  • You can ride a bike and enjoy being outdoors on an e-bike.
