As part of an early planned succession arrangement, we are looking for an experienced leader with proven expertise in the education sector from 1 May 2027 or by agreement:

Head of Education Department / Member of Executive Management (m/f/d) 100%

Your broad range of responsibilities:

• Strategic and operational management of the training and continuing education department as well as participation in the executive management
• Further development of the education portfolio according to the needs of the market, members and industry
• Leadership, promotion and development of teams in the German-speaking and Western Switzerland regions in close cooperation with the Head of Western Switzerland
• Initiation and implementation of innovation and transformation projects in the education sector
• Further development of digital learning formats and integration of new technologies, especially in the field of AI
• Representation of EXPERTsuisse in commissions, expert committees and towards external stakeholders
• Management of cross-departmental projects and co-design of corporate strategy

For this key role, you bring the following skills and experience:

• University degree or equivalent higher education with a business administration background
• Proven leadership experience in higher vocational education or adult education
• Several years of leadership experience with overall responsibility for complex organisational units, ideally in a matrix organisation
• The ability to build sustainable relationships with companies, authorities as well as lecturers and speakers
• Experience in the strategic development of education portfolios and the implementation of change projects
• Entrepreneurial thinking, strong result orientation and a leadership approach with high expectations of personal responsibility
• Sound judgement and the ability to reconcile different interests and make binding decisions
• Confident demeanour as well as strong communication and moderation skills
• Fluent German and very good knowledge of French
