Linux DevOps Engineer (Exclusive via Rocken) (m/f/d)

Role:
An experienced professional in Linux, Kubernetes and automation is sought for the operation and further development of a highly available platform environment. The focus is on stable 7x24 systems, infrastructure as code, CI/CD as well as continuous optimisation of the existing platform landscape.
Responsibilities:
Operation, maintenance and further development of a Linux server landscape with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
Operation and further development of a Kubernetes platform based on SUSE Rancher / RKE2
Automation of platform operations with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code and AWX
Building and further development of CI/CD pipelines on the central Git platform Forgejo
Technical support for application and developer teams
Ensuring stable 7x24 operation including monitoring and 2nd-level support
Planning and execution of automated updates, upgrades and release changes
Participation in OS hardening and vulnerability remediation
Co-management of privileged accounts, certificates and secrets
Participation in the on-call service
Qualifications:
Technical education at technical college, university of applied sciences, university or ETH level or equivalent professional experience
Several years of experience in operating Linux and Kubernetes in critical 7x24 environments
Very good knowledge of Ansible as well as solid DevOps experience with IaC and CI/CD
Knowledge of platform security, load balancing, DNS, firewalls and highly available systems is an advantage
ITIL as well as cloud/open-source certifications are an advantage
Very independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style
Willingness to participate in on-call service and assignments outside regular working hours
Fluent German (C2) and good English skills (B2); French (B1) is an advantage
