Senior Application Engineer - Market Risk Application (German)

Job description:

• Analysis of business requirements from Risk Management and Trading as well as translation into technical specifications
• Design and implementation of new features
• Further development of existing risk and trading applications
• Integration of trading systems, market, reference and reporting data as well as risk platforms
• Ensuring performance, stability and maintainability
• Support of intraday and end-of-day processing
• Execution of unit, integration and regression tests
• Support during business acceptance tests
• Error analysis and resolution in 3rd-level support
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

About the customer:

Our client, one of the largest retail banks in Switzerland, is seeking an experienced individual for the further development and modernisation of its market risk and trading applications. You will work in a team of eight developers and nine business staff and maintain close communication with Risk Management, Trading and other IT teams.

Requirements:

• 8–12 years of experience in application development
• Very good knowledge of Java and Kotlin
• Experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL and PL/SQL
• Very good Linux skills
• Experience with Kubernetes and Windows
• Knowledge in the area of Market Risk, Credit Risk or Trading
• Experience with interfaces, testing and production support
• German and English at C2 level
