Microsoft System Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
Rethink technology instead of just managing it: This position is aimed at an experienced IT professional who wants to strategically use Microsoft technologies while also diving deep into the technology. The focus is on cloud transformation, security, automation, and the ability to build robust digital solutions from complex requirements.
Responsibilities:
Technological advancement of a modern Microsoft-based enterprise environment
Design of a future-proof cloud roadmap considering security, governance, and regulatory requirements
Assuming technical ownership for business-critical applications and services
Ensuring stable and efficient IT operations throughout the entire application lifecycle
Developing scalable solutions for business units and translating complex business requirements into technical concepts
Managing technical projects from the initial idea through architecture and implementation to productive operation
Building and expanding zero-trust-oriented identity and security concepts
Automating recurring processes with PowerShell, APIs, and cloud services
Optimising user, device, and permission processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle
Responsibility for modern endpoint and device management strategies
Technical coordination of providers and specialised IT service providers
Analysing dependencies between applications, infrastructure, network, identity, and cloud
Establishing infrastructure-as-code and automation principles where appropriate
Utilising observability, monitoring, and automated workflows to detect issues early
Promoting a structured, documented, and transparent working method through agile approaches
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science, information technology, or comparable practical experience
Several years of experience as a senior system engineer, cloud engineer, infrastructure engineer, technical lead, or similar
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft cloud with Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
Solid experience with Intune, endpoint management, and modern workplace security
Technical understanding of identity, authentication, authorisation, and governance
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Teams, telephony, collaboration, and contact centre integration
Interest in current technologies such as Copilot, Microsoft Purview, and cloud security
Experience with PowerShell, REST APIs, or comparable automation technologies
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and agile delivery models
Ability to present technical matters clearly to management and business units
Entrepreneurial thinking, high personal responsibility, and strong implementation skills
Willingness to take responsibility beyond classic infrastructure boundaries
