About the job

Logistics is more than just moving goods for you - you orchestrate processes, lead people, and ensure that everything is in the right place at the right time. As Head of Outbound Logistics, you take responsibility for the team, processes, and performance, driving our site forward with competence, energy, and foresight.

What you achieve

  • You lead the outbound team of around 50 employees and are responsible for smooth operations in ambient and chilled store picking, central palletising / frozen delivery, as well as in empty packaging handling
  • You ensure operational logistics at the site for stores, export, third-party partners, sister companies, and platforms according to system technical requirements
  • You coordinate collaboration with internal and external interfaces and ensure clear and timely communication
  • You monitor key figures, ensure budget compliance, and manage costs responsibly
  • You actively promote and develop your employees and lead your team in a performance- and solution-oriented manner
  • You actively contribute to projects to optimise production, logistics, and process workflows
  • You ensure the maintenance of master data in logistics systems, take on administrative tasks, and handle logistics-relevant documents for smooth processing
  • You deputise for the Head of Logistics / Supply

What you bring

  • Education: Advanced technical college
  • Field: Completed training or further education in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
  • Professional experience: 3 - 5 years; further training in leadership or logistics is an advantage
  • You have a strong understanding of processes, quickly recognise connections, and think solution-oriented
  • You remain calm, resilient, and flexible even in hectic situations - especially during seasonal fluctuations in daily business
  • You convince as a communicative leader with quick comprehension, analytical thinking, and a pragmatic hands-on mentality
  • You motivate employees, present yourself confidently, and assert yourself with clarity and tact
  • You bring very good SAP and MS Office skills as well as experience with logistics IT systems
  • You have proven leadership experience managing small to medium-sized teams
  • German (B1)
