Tasks:

• ensures the management of the work of the State Workshops (OfS) (operation, management, coordination, planning and control) according to the directives of the Office of State Vehicles and Machines (UAMS)
• leads and supports the employees of the departments assigned to the outfitting, maintenance, and repair of the fleet of vehicles, machines, and equipment of the State
• collaborates with the various Services of the Office in planning purchases, internal and external interventions, and vehicle replacements (annual estimates) and, upon decision made with the managing official, assigns the work
• collaborates in planning and developing internal training for the assigned units and apprentices of the OfS
• proactively collaborates in promoting the orientations and provisions of the Office of State Vehicles and Machines
• collaborates in managing the procedures related to supplier services

Requirements:

• engineering diploma in the automotive sector or, alternatively, federal professional certificate (APF) or higher in the automotive sector
• proven experience and authorization from the Vocational Training Division as a trainer of mechatronic apprentices can replace the APF certificate and is considered a preferential qualification
• experience in managing large fleets and/or 10 years of experience in similar activities are considered preferential qualifications
• proven leadership and team management skills
• authority, initiative, team spirit, and excellent organizational skills
• proven professionalism and impeccable conduct
• good spoken knowledge of a second official language
• good knowledge of the cantonal territory and its institutions
• given equal requirements, complementary work experience in the fields of boating and installation of electronic equipment on priority vehicles may be considered preferential qualifications

• only candidates holding an engineering diploma in the automotive sector will be placed in salary class 7

• working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment rate), flexible or according to service needs
