Do you want to contribute your knowledge and ideas where complex topics become exciting experiences? At the Swiss Museum of Transport, we connect past, present, and future and make mobility and its changes tangible for people of all ages. We have been collecting objects and documents of Swiss transport since industrialisation. Currently, our collection comprises about 12,000 physical objects and 65,000 documents. The following tasks await you:

• Further development and implementation of the collection concept
• Leadership of the Documentation Centre team including the publicly accessible library
• Curator for the Transport Archive area
• Head of the "Collection Specialist Group", which decides and monitors all collection activities
• Responsible for digital collection management, the online catalogue, uniform object documentation, and the further development of the digitisation of our collection documentation
• Initiation and management of conservation and restoration projects as well as acquisition or securing of necessary resources
• Representation of the mobility collection externally, maintenance of the professional network, and writing of scientific publications; handling research enquiries; responsibility for an active loan system

You are a structured, communicative, and proactive personality who takes responsibility, inspires others, and likes to drive topics forward.

• University degree in history, cultural studies, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in the collection area of a cultural institution
• Initial leadership experience as well as experience in project management
• Sound knowledge of museum databases and digital collection management, ideally MuseumPlus
• Experience in the conception and implementation of collection or exhibition projects
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form; good knowledge of French; English or Italian an advantage
