Head of Department Product Development Pharma (100%) 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

As Head of Department Product Development Pharma, you take on an exciting leadership role with diverse tasks:

• You lead and develop the Product Development Pharma team (project management, subproject management galenics) and manage the galenic development laboratory

• You are responsible for new product developments of herbal medicinal products for the A.Vogel Group - from target formulation to market launch

• You support Product Lifecycle Management and maintenance projects: galenic optimisation of existing products, site transfers, process optimisations and change notifications

• You create, review and approve technical documentation according to the internal responsibility matrix, including quality modules for international approval dossiers and change notifications

• You support process validations as well as the technical assessment of deviations including root cause analysis and CAPA

• You manufacture clinical trial samples and placebos in a GMP-regulated environment and document these

• You are the competence centre and contact point for galenic and pharmaceutical-technological questions - for production, QA, QC, Regulatory Affairs, purchasing, marketing and in-house cultivation

What do I need to be successful?

• Completed studies in pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology or comparable qualification

• Several years of professional experience in pharmaceutical product development, ideally with herbal medicinal products

• Leadership experience and strong team skills

• Sound knowledge in galenics and pharmaceutical technology

• Experience in the GMP environment and in preparing approval dossiers

• Structured, solution-oriented working style and high personal responsibility

• Very good German and good English skills
