The City of Langenthal forms the centre of the Bernese Oberaargau with a catchment area of around 80,000 people and, with approximately 16,500 inhabitants, is the eighth largest municipality in the canton of Bern. The Information Technology Service Center of the City of Langenthal provides comprehensive IT services for the city administration, external administrative offices and third-party municipalities in cooperation with the IT sourcing provider. To complement our team, we are looking for an IT Specialist (IT Generalist) (80%-100%) from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement. This is your job

• Supporting employees with ICT concerns in 1st and 2nd level support
• Maintenance, monitoring and administration of ICT infrastructures
• Further development and maintenance of the M365 environment
• Planning and conducting tests and internal user training
• Accompanying the commissioning of hardware and applications
• Participation in ICT projects and management of smaller sub-projects
• Evaluation of new ICT requirements and development of concepts

This is what you bring with you

• Solid IT professional training (IT specialist) or equivalent qualification
• Good knowledge and practical experience in the Microsoft 365 environment
• Broad IT expertise in the areas of infrastructure, networks, clients and telephony
• Experience in IT consulting, conception and solution-oriented support
• Independent, structured and pragmatic way of working
• Open personality with pronounced and target group-appropriate communication skills
