To complement our team, we are looking for a Host / Restaurant Manager Sharing Brasserie Juliette (m/f/d) from August 2026 or by arrangement
The Sharing Brasserie Juliette is the heart of our Grand Hotel National – a lively meeting place directly on Lake Lucerne with discerning hotel guests, regulars from Lucerne, and one of the most beautiful lake terraces in the region. For this key position, we are seeking an experienced leader who lives hospitality, develops their team with clarity and passion, and ensures the highest service quality in a dynamic operation. Together with us, you will shape the next development phase of the Sharing Brasserie Juliette and sustainably influence the guest experience.
What awaits you with us:
- Overall operational responsibility for the Sharing Brasserie Juliette with restaurant (50 seats) and one of the most beautiful lake terraces in Switzerland (80 seats)
- Leadership, coaching, and development of a dedicated service team with the goal of ensuring excellent and consistent service at the highest level
- Host role on the floor – you are present, lead the team, and ensure that guests become regulars
- Continuous development of service quality, processes, and standards as well as active training of the team
- Responsibility for staff scheduling based on forecasts and efficient resource management
- Ensuring smooth operation from lunch to evening service
- Close collaboration with the kitchen and all F&B outlets of the Grand Hotel National (National Bar, Café César, and event area)
- Responsibility for recruitment, onboarding, and development of new employees
- Taking on manager-on-duty shifts
What you bring with you:
- Completed training in hospitality or gastronomy
- Several years of leadership and operational experience in a comparable position
- Experience in the upscale or luxury restaurant or hotel segment
- Experience with busy restaurant and terrace operations
- Enjoyment in developing teams, coaching employees, and sustainably improving service quality
- Strong organisational skills as well as understanding of personnel planning, forecasts, and business management contexts
- Very good knowledge of wine and beverages
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of personal responsibility
- Confident appearance, assertiveness, and a hands-on mentality
- Very good German and English skills, additional languages are welcome
