The University of Teacher Education Zug (PH Zug) is an educational institution with a personal atmosphere, hosting over 600 students and 140 staff members. As a locally rooted and internationally oriented university, it offers a comprehensive range of services in the areas of education, further training, services, consulting, as well as research and development. The institutional foresight is reflected on site with views over the mountains and Lake Zug. The Mathematics Department team is active in all service areas of PH Zug and is seeking, from 1 September 2027, a committed person who wishes to contribute to subject-didactic teaching and, depending on the profile, also to mentoring.

These exciting tasks await you

• Conducting courses in mathematics didactics in the Kindergarten/Lower Primary and/or Primary degree programmes (depending on profile)
• Contributing to the further development of mathematics didactic training

If interested and with the appropriate profile:

• Taking on a mentorship in the Bachelor’s degree programme Primary Level
• Supervising Bachelor theses and conducting diploma examinations
• Activities in the module "Mathematical Learning" in the Master’s degree programme Special Education and/or in teacher continuing education

What you bring with you

• Master’s degree in mathematics didactics/mathematics or a comparable qualification related to the job profile, or the intention to obtain a corresponding degree
• Teaching diploma, ideally experience in higher education didactics as well as practical experience (target level reference)
• Doctorate in mathematics (didactics) is an advantage
• Committed, reliable and team-oriented working style
