Technology running in the background needs someone who thinks ahead. This is exactly where the work as an IT System Engineer Windows & Cloud comes in. You keep server landscapes, clients, and networks running while also supporting production-related systems. Microsoft 365 (M365), virtualisation, and network technology form your technical toolbox. Those who like to work broadly and take responsibility will find plenty of scope here.
Responsibilities:
You install, operate, and support Windows servers and clients and manage access and identities
You take care of vulnerability and patch management across IT and production-related systems
Furthermore, you advise on and implement solutions in the areas of cloud, network (Cisco, Fortinet), VMware, and license management
You evaluate new technologies, obtain quotes, and assess them professionally
Additionally, you support specialised hardware including office and label printers
You also plan IT projects, advance IT security, and assist users remotely as well as in person
Qualifications:
You have a qualification as an IT specialist EFZ, preferably with a focus on system technology or platform development
You have already gained practical experience in operating systems, applications, or support
Windows client and server, VMware, Fortinet, Cisco, or PowerShell: you are familiar with several of these topics
You tackle tricky technical issues instead of leaving them unresolved
Furthermore, you work in an organised, self-responsible manner and keep an overview even with multiple tasks
You also think beyond system boundaries, gladly help colleagues, and communicate confidently in German
