The Office for Transport and Civil Engineering is responsible for the further development and maintenance of the cantonal roads and paths as well as their operational upkeep. It plans and commissions public regional and local transport and approves traffic measures on municipal roads. The goal is to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable traffic mobility in the canton. For the Road Maintenance Department, we are looking for a Skilled Worker, 100% at the Wangen bei Olten location, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your responsibilities
- As a team member, you maintain the cantonal road area.
- You carry out general maintenance work such as road cleaning, green care of verges, flower beds, and embankments, and perform minor construction work on road infrastructure.
- Proper operation of various vehicles and equipment is one of your core tasks.
- You perform winter service duties and are part of the on-call organisation.
Your profile
- You have completed training as a landscape gardener EFZ, forest ranger EFZ, road builder EFZ, maintenance specialist EFZ with a focus on workshop service, or a comparable manual training.
- You bring several years of professional experience, ideally also with experience in operating agricultural vehicles.
- You hold a category BE driving licence.
- Motivation, teamwork, and resilience characterise you.
