Your Responsibilities
Process Analytics is a division within the METTLER TOLEDO Group and a leading provider of field instruments for the analysis of liquids and gases in the process industry. At our site in Urdorf, we develop and produce high-quality sensors for controlling production processes, which we distribute worldwide through our own market organisations. We are looking for a responsible and assertive individual to ensure occupational safety and health protection in Urdorf as Safety Officer Occupational Safety & Health Protection 80 - 100% (all genders)
In this role, you will undertake the following tasks:
- Advising and supporting management and line supervisors on all matters of occupational safety and health protection
- Technical leadership of the safety team of the production unit in Urdorf
- Planning, conducting, and documenting safety inspections, safety walks, and audits
- Planning and coordinating training on "Work with Special Hazards" in cooperation with line supervisors
- Organising and conducting training sessions, instructions, and drills in the areas of evacuation, emergency, and fire protection in cooperation with the fire safety officer
- Creating, updating, and implementing risk assessments, risk analyses, and protective measures using the PDCA cycle
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies at the site
- Supporting investigations of accidents and near-miss incidents as well as deriving and implementing appropriate measures
We require the following for this position:
- You have completed a technical vocational training and at least the training as a Safety Assistant ASGS
- You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in the industrial field
- You have very good knowledge of MS Office
- Expertise in handling hazardous substances is an advantage
- You are an independent, team-oriented, and problem-solving person with high resilience
- Fluent German language skills are required with very good English skills
