Subject Matter Expert Mediation

In this versatile role, you convey knowledge in a lively and understandable way and especially inspire children and young people for our thematic worlds. With your didactic know-how, creativity, and sensitivity to different target groups, you further develop existing mediation offers and help design new learning and experience formats. The following main tasks await you:

• Organisation and implementation of our workshop offers for different target groups
• Coordination and accompaniment of appearances at education fairs
• Conception, organisation, and implementation of project weeks and other educational formats
• Development and elaboration of didactic teaching, learning, and accompanying materials for our exhibition areas
• Support of the deputy head of Education & Mediation in the organisation, design, and implementation of further training offers as well as in the supervision of Kids Club events
• Deputising for the coordinator of Education & Mediation
• Deputy contact person for our apprentices in the absence of the Education & Mediation coordination

You are an open and communicative personality who enjoys standing in front of people and knows how to win, motivate, and inspire especially young people for a topic. In addition, you bring the following:

• A didactic education, for example a PH degree, teaching diploma, or a comparable qualification
• Teaching experience as well as experience in knowledge transfer, for example in workshops, courses, or comparable formats
• Experience in dealing with children, young people, and/or apprentices
• Joy in mediation as well as a pronounced talent for presentation and entertainment
• Creative and innovative thinking as well as enjoyment in developing new mediation formats
• Very good knowledge of German, good language skills in English and French are an advantage
• Confident handling of Microsoft 365
• Scientific knowledge is an advantage
