The Directorate of Finance, Personnel and IT provides a variety of internal city services and supplies central resources. The Immobilien Stadt Bern department manages and maintains the extensive municipal property portfolio.
What you will achieve
- You are responsible for the topics of usage and operations in the new city district within the remit of Immobilien Stadt Bern [e.g. commercial and community spaces, open spaces, neighbourhood life].
- You further develop the operations and usage concept, taking into account economic, social and ecological aspects, and accompany its implementation.
- You represent the interests of the City of Bern as landowner vis-à-vis all parties involved and within the overall project management team.
- You act as the interface to the infrastructure cooperative that operates the district’s shared infrastructure offering, and actively shape the collaboration with it and its management.
- You contribute your expertise to ensure that a functional, attractive and sustainable district emerges from the planning.
- You prepare decision-making bases and draft proposals and statements for commissions, the municipal council and the city council.
What you bring
- You have completed a university or university of applied sciences degree in a relevant field (e.g. architecture, real estate economics, civil engineering) and have several years of professional experience in the planning, construction or real estate sector.
- You have experience in strategic or operational facility management and have led subprojects or complex projects.
- You work in a structured, precise and solution-oriented manner, negotiate skilfully and bring together different interests.
- You communicate confidently in spoken and written form and draft proposals and reports.
- You deal with stakeholders in a customer- and service-oriented manner.
- You understand political processes and public decision-making structures.
